Preparation of PVA /MMT Nano CoatingAbstractMontmorillonite with unique layered properties,large specific surface area,and a certain ionexchange space between layers,coupled with its rich content and low price,has been used inmaterials processing applications.In recent years,montmorillonite is often compounded withpolymers to achieve the purpose of preparing new composite materials.Polyvinyl alcohol has thecharacteristics of high crystallinity,strong adhesion,good water solubility and non-toxic andharmless.It is used for making plastics,coatings,synthetic fibers,etc.However,due to its poorthermal stability,the scope of use is limited.In this project,the two are combined to preparemontmorillonite polyvinyl alcohol composite nano-coating materials with excellentcomprehensive properties,and the characteristics of flame retardancy,mechanical properties,barrier properties and so on are studied.First,the effects of the ratio of the amount of montmorillonite to polyvinyl alcohol,theultrasonic dissolution time,and the particle size of montmorillonite on the dispersion effect werediscussed.The results show that the transparency of the prepared nano-coating material has a greatrelationship with the amount of montmorillonite,as well as the influence of the ultrasonicdispersion time.Secondly,the prepared nano-coating is subjected to XRD test to analyze whether thecomposite coating material is compounded with the expected result after improving thepreparation process.When the ratio of montmorillonite is high and the dispersion time is short,thetransparency and flexibility of the resulting coating are reduced,and when the content ofmontmorillonite is small,the composite effect is not good.The particle size of the montmorilloniteraw material particles also has a great influence on the compounding,and the short ultrasonic timefails to fully mix the two materials.It can be analyzed from the DSC spectrum that one of themicroscopic compatibility between EWS montmorillonite and polyvinyl alcohol is not as good asPYY-L montmorillonite.Moreover,in the TGA spectra of the two composite coated film products,the results of the two sets of data show that the content of the two components is roughly the sameas the ratio of the raw materials in the experimental setting,indicating that the ratio of theexperimental setting is no problem,and the mixing of the two raw materials The degree is exactlywhat the experiment expects.In the tensile experiment and the flame retardancy experiment,afterthe base material is coated with the composite nano-coating material prepared in this experiment,the flame retardancy and tensile resistance are obviously improved.Finally,the improved composite nano-coating material was tested for performance:when thedosage ratio of montmorillonite to polyvinyl alcohol was 1:1,it was developed with an agatemortar before dissolving montmorillonite,and each dispersion time was extended to 45 minutesThe composite nano-coating has the characteristics of high fl
