AbstractChiral liquid crystal material is one of the hot and difficult points in liquid crystalfield.Chiral liquid crystal materials are highly valued for their unique optical andelectrical properties.Chiral liquid crystal crosslinkers have important influence on theproperties of the elasticity of chiral liquid crystals.In this paper,a novel chiral liquidcrystal cross-linking agent 4-(4-allinoxy)benzoy 1-4'-hydroxyl biphenyl camphor aciddiester was prepared by ether-ester reaction with camphor acid with high opticalactivity as the chiral center.The chemical structure of the chiral liquid crystalcrosslinking agent was characterized by FTIR and 1H-NMR.The thermal propertiesof the chiral liquid crystal crosslinking agent were studied by differential scanningcalorimetry (DSC)and its optical texture was observed by polarizing microscope(POM).The results show that the chemical structure of the synthesized chiral liquidcrystal crosslinking agent conforms to the molecular design.The chiral liquid crystalcross-linking agent presented a cholesteric liquid crystal phase with a wide liquidcrystal phase range and better liquid crystal properties.Keywords:liquid crystal;crossing agent chiral;phase behavior
