AbstractObjective:To understand the effect of parental rearing styles on frustrationtolerance of normal students.Methods The normal students were investigatedby using parenting style evaluation scale and college students'frustrationtolerance questionnaire.Results The demographic variables were significantlydifferent.Psychological frustration was not significantly related to thedimension of father mother emotional warmth and was not significantlyrelated to the dimension of mother preference.Psychological frustration issignificantly negatively related to severe punishment by mothers,severepunishment by fathers,excessive interference by fathers,excessiveinterference by mothers,refusal of denial by mothers,refusal of denial byfathers,excessive protection of fathers,and fathers'preferences.Father'soverprotection significantly negatively affects mental frustration;severepunishment by mothers significantly negatively affects mental frustration.Conclusion:Parental education methods have an important impact on thecultivation of normal students'frustration tolerance.[key Words Normal students Frustration tolerance Parenting styles
