Study on the current situation and countermeasures of oral communicationteaching in lower grade Chinese in primary school---a case study of S primary school in SuzhouAbstract With the increasing needs of people for oral communication and the continuous improvement ofsocial requirements for oral communication ability,oral communication teaching research has become animportant research topic in the current academic community.As far as oral communication is concerned,itmust be carried out in specific communication or situation,combined with the previous listening andspeaking teaching,but its function is more extensive,which can improve the development of students'comprehensive literacy,the use of language,the expression of students'emotions,the cultivation of students'cultural literacy and the overall development of students.In 2011,the Ministry of Education issued thecompulsory education Chinese curriculum standard(2011 Edition),which clearly points out that oralcommunication teaching has become an important part of promoting the comprehensive development ofstudents'comprehensive ability.However,limited by many factors,the current development of oralcommunication teaching in primary school students is still not optimistic.Teachers need to make clear thecharacteristics of students in different grades and summarize the systematic and effective teaching strategies.Therefore,this paper takes s primary school in Suzhou as a case study to find out the problems in oralcommunication teaching,and then to seek scientific and reasonable teaching improvement measures.Key words Primary school Chinese Lower grade Oral communication Education
