Research on the transformation and upgrading of Guangdong'sforeign trade structureAbstractWith the development of China's economy in the 21st century,the development ofinternational trade has achieved sustained and rapid growth both at home and abroad.Thedevelopment of foreign trade plays a crucial role in promoting the rapid growth of thenational economy.Since the reform and opening up,Guangdong Province has made rapidprogress in commercial construction,following in the footsteps of the country and activelyresponding to the call of foreign trade and international economic development.In the pasttwo years,the world economy has picked up,but the economies of other developed countries,such as Europe and the United States,are still growing in the short term.Emerging countriesface economic barriers to trade,such as the 2018 Sino-US trade war.Through the adoption ofprotective measures,the United States unilaterally and continuously impose severance tariffson the categories of goods in trade,thus causing trade friction,seriously effecting China's freetrade,the vigorous development of the foreign economy.Guangdong Province,as one of thefew major foreign trade provinces in China,accounts for 20%of total trade with the UnitedStates.In such a world economic environment,China's foreign trade has been hit,includingthe export volume.The sharp decline in the foreign trade volume of Guangdong province hascaused many foreign trade enterprises to face huge risks due to the shortage of funds,capitalturnover and survival difficulties.This paper intends to analyze the development status,opportunities and challenges of Guangdong province since the 21st century from theperspective of foreign trade and economic cooperation,to clarify the path of upgrading,transformation and upgrading of Guangdong's foreign trade structure.It also puts forwardsome countermeasures to promote the upgrading and transformation of foreign trade structurein Guangdong provinces.Such as improving the overall level of foreign trade enterprises inGuangdong province,building independent brands in technology research and development,and improving the mechanism of international talent cultivation and introduction.In general,in order to make the foreign trade competitiveness of Guangdong province more competitivein the world market,we need to achieve transformation and upgrading based on the originalforeign trade structure.
