On the application of Variant Teaching in junior middle school mathematicsteachingAbstract Variant teaching has a long history in China,and it is a distinctive teaching feature ofmiddle school mathematics teaching in China.In order to study variant teaching,literatureresearch methods,questionnaire interview methods,case analysis methods and classroomobservation methods were used.Through these methods,it is found that variant teaching has avery common application in our daily learning,but there are also many problems in the useprocess.In order to make the prospect of variant teaching more bright,research on variantteaching is very necessary.This article firstly describes the research background of variantteaching through "Chinese learner paradox"and "characteristics of Chinese mathematicsclassrooms".Then,through the search and collection of literature materials,we have a basicunderstanding of variant teaching.Starting from the actual teaching situation,I summarizedseveral principles in addition to the eight educational principles that should be paid attention to inthe variant teaching.Next,on the basis of practical exploration,through the specific teachingexamples,the concept of variant teaching and related variants of exercises are carried out.Thestudy will also use conceptual and procedural variants to study the concept of variant teaching indetail,and compare the two to make the study of variant teaching more detailed.Finally,theadvantages and limitations of variant teaching are summarized as well as places to pay attentionto in the practice of variant teachingKey words variant teaching Junior high school mathematics conceptual variation processvariation exercise variants
