北京理工大学珠海学院2020届本科生毕业论文NBA Most Valuable Player analysisAbstractIn this paper,we use multivariate statistics and machine learning to analyze the data ofNBA players and predict the MVP in 2020 season,and give some pertinent opinions to theconclusions.The first part analyzes the data of NBA players by the method of multivariate statistics.Using three methods of factor analysis,principal component analysis and cluster analysis,this paper analyzes the data of NBA players in 2020 season by combining the characteristicsof the most valuable player (MVP),and then make some pertinent suggestions for theconclusionThe second part of machine leaming is to predict the MVP of the 2020 season by buildinglinear regression and decision tree models.A LINEAR regression model and a decisiontree model are established respectively,in which the linear regression can predict the top 20players of this season,and the 2019 season is used to test the accuracy of the model beforepredicting the 2020 season.Keywords:Multivariate statistics Linear regression Decision Tree MVP Machine learn-ing
