Research on International Competitiveness of Guangdong HouseholdAppliance ProductsAbstractThe household appliance industry is one of the earliest industries in Guangdong Provinceto be opened to the outside world.Guangdong Province,with its cheap labor force,priceadvantages of products and industrial scale,has made China the manufacturing center ofhousehold appliances in the world,and at the same time,,Chinese devices play an importantrole in the global market.However,to show strong competition in the global market,Guangdong home appliance enterprises need to address their weaknesses,accelerate scientificresearch and increase the competitiveness of home appliances in Guangdong.This column examines the international competitiveness of home appliances inGuangdong with the manufacture,import and export of household appliances in Guangdongand lists the measures and proposals for the process,organized international competition ofGuangdong Province.First,Guangdong's home appliance production conditions arecompared across the country.Furthermore,through the analysis of the import and exportquantity and unit price of household electrical appliances in Guangdong province,this paperputs forward the problem of foreign trade of household electrical appliances in Guangdongprovince.Then,using the Trade Competitiveness Index and the Export Growth AdvantageIndex,this article compares and analyzes the international competitiveness of homeappliances in China,Guangdong,Anhui and Shandong.Finally,in line with the currentsituation and the development of industrial home appliances in line with the internationalsituation,the international competitive improvement of home appliances in GuangdongProvince,possible measures against business,government and industrial perspectives havebeen proposed.Keywords:International competitiveness;Household electrical appliances;Tradecompetitiveness index
