A study on the adverb "wei shi"AbstractThe adverb "Wei Shi ()is the research object of this paper.Based on the study ofrelevant literature and works,this paper tries to further explore the basic semantics andpragmatic functions of the adverb "Wei Shi ()and analyze its syntactic position andsyntactic function.In terms of semantics,this paper analyzes its basic semantics,and furtherexplores its semantic orientation and semantic characteristics between it and connection items.The three pragmatic functions of the adverb "Wei Shi (are analyzed one by one.Finally,the syntactic position,syntactical combination and co-occurrence of the adverb "WeiShi(委实)"are discussed.Keywords:"Wei Shi ("Basic semantics;Pragmatic function;Syntacticposition
