Active Ingredients and Development and Utilization ofBamboo LeavesAbstract:In China,bamboo is a very common plant with the characteristics of wide distribution,fast growth,highyield,strong regeneration ability and wide application.Therefore,in addition to the traditional use of bamboo,people began to pay attention to the study of effective components of bamboo leaves.In recent years,it has beenfound that bamboo leaves contain many active components that are beneficial to human body,includingflavonoids,phenolic acids,alkaloids,bioactive polysaccharides,amino acid peptides,anthraquinones,terpenelactones and so on.They have good antioxidant,antibacterial and bacteriostatic effects,regulate blood lipids andenhance immunity,and they have played a good role in medicine and agriculture.In this paper,the distribution ofbamboo in China,the medicinal and edible history of bamboo leaves,the extraction of active components inbamboo leaves,the research status of physiological function of active components,and the development statusand prospect of bamboo leaf products are prospected.Keywords:Bamboo leaves:Active ingredient:Physiologic function:Development and utilization
