ULTRAFINE PALLADIUM NANOPARTICLESIMMOBILIZED ON N-DOPED POROUS CARBONMATERIALS AS A HIGHLY EFFICIENTHYDROGENATION CATALYSTSAbstractThe performance of supported ultrafine Pd nanocatalyst is affected by the size ofnanoparticles,microstructure,support and strong metal-support interaction.Theresults show that it is a common way to control the catalytic performance of thecatalyst to disperse and stabilize the ultrafine Pd nanoparticles on suitable supports.The ideal support can not only improve the dispersion of Pd NPs and narrow theparticle size distribution,but also reduce the consumption of Pd,reduce the economiccost,enhance the strong metal-support interaction,and improve the reusability of thecatalyst,reduce the metal loss and aggregation.In many carrier materials,nitrogendoped porous carbon materials can become solid coordination of Pd and inhibit theaggregation of Pd NPs due to the doping of electron rich nitrogen.Therefore,in thispaper,different N-doped porous carbon materials loaded with ultrafine Pdnanocatalysts were designed by different precursors,and applied to different catalytichydrogenation reactions,showing excellent hydrogenation effects.(1)Based on the demand of green sustainable development,we use relativelycheap biomass waste as raw material to obtain high specific surface area N-dopedporous carbon material PNCM through simple high-temperature carbonization.WhenPNCM is used as the support of Pd NPs,due to the interaction between in-situ dopednitrogen atoms or groups and Pd NPs,Pd NPs can be uniformly and stably dispersedon the surface and pore structure of carbon material support,and Pd/PNCM catalystcan be obtained.The catalyst has high catalytic activity for phenol hydrogenationunder green and mild reaction conditions.In addition,compared with commercialPd/C,Pd/PNCM catalyst has good catalytic performance and stability due to thesynergistic effect between the support and ultrafine Pd NPs.(2)In heterogeneouscatalytic reaction,the morphology of the support has a great influence on the stability
