本科论文AbstractIn order to accelerate the fusion of the world's economic and cultural fields,cross-cultural exchange activities between countries are carried out in differentkinds of forms.The rapid development of openness to the outside world ofChina requires many professionals engaged in escort interpreters to provideguarantees of service.In this process,interpretation plays a vital role.Thesuccess of interpretation is closely related to the reputation of a city or even acountry.Escort interpreters are interpreters who accompanies a foreign guest or adelegation to participate in an event.They generally appear in variousforeign-related reception processes and involve a wide range and highfrequency of use.Compared with rigorous conference interpretation and courtinterpretation,the escort interpretation form is very lively.The escort interpretercan flexibly adjust the sequence of the original content according to thesituation and has a strong subjective initiative.Escort interpreters play animportant role in business activities and cultural exchange.However,due todifferences in cultural backgrounds and uneven translation levels,interpretersmay be unclear or even mistranslation during the interpretation process.Thiswill cause a certain loss to both parties,and at the same time will cause foreignguests to misunderstand the city and even the country.This paper can help the escort interpreters to grasp the correspondinginterpretation strategies and improve the principles and strategies ofcross-cultural communication by studying the differences between Chinese andWestern cultures,language barriers and cultural barriers in cross-culturalcommunication,overcoming cultural conflicts discourse comprehension caneffectively avoid the problems of communication barriers and communicationsuspension,so as to better play the role of cultural communicator,andeffectively help a city or even a country to establish a good international image.Keywords:escort interpretation;cross-cultural communication;culturaldifferences;coping strategies
