本科论文AbstractEnglish always plays an important role in students'learning;therefore,it isessential to find a better way to learn English,especially at the primary stage oflearning English for children.Childhood is the primary stage and the key periodfor students to learn English.In order to make better use of the key period forchildren to learn English,the application of pedagogy in teaching is essential.Although with the development of children's classroom teaching in recent years,children's learning has received extensive attention,but there are some problemsin the implementation of teaching methods in the classroom.Traditionalteaching methods always affect the performance of students in the classroom.Theme and topics play a very important role in people's daily life.Languagesare not boring words and sentences,but a communication tool.Based on the application of theme-based instruction in children's Englishclassroom teaching,the first part of this paper is theoretical basis,which mainlycontains the definition,origin,characteristics and researches of theme-basedinstruction at home and abroad.The second part initially introduces theapplication of theme-based instruction in children's English classroom teaching,including the principle of applying theme-based instruction,the selection ofteaching material and the implementation of students'learning processes.Thethird part analyses the benefits of theme-based instruction in children's Englishclassroom teaching,including the improvement of the children's initiative,andincrease of interest and thinking in classroom teachingKeywords:theme-based instruction;children's English teaching;application
