Research on The Application of Mathematical Model in Middle SchoolMathematics TeachingAbstract In order to research the application of the mathematical modeling idea in secondaryschool mathematics teaching situation,this article carries out a questionnaire survey on threeclasses of eight grade students in an ordinary junior high school in C city W area,interviewssome math teachers and analyzes the mathematics teaching material,so as to understand theunderstanding and application of the idea of mathematical modeling by the students andteachers.The results indicate that:Teachers'research on mathematical modeling isinsufficient.Teachers lack the cultivation of secondary school students'mathematical modelingconsciousness in math teaching.Moreover,students 'understanding of mathematical modelingideas and practical application ability are insufficient,and it is hard for students to connectmathematical theory with real life.Relevant suggestion are given as follows:First at all,schoolsneed provide teachers with training related to mathematical modeling.The aim is to deepenteachers'understanding of mathematical modeling ideas.Secondly,teachers should permeatemathematical modeling thought in the mathematics class for students.By permeating themathematical modeling thought of middle school students,teachers can exercise students'ability to solve mathematical problems in real life,realize the application value of mathematics,and improve their mathematical literacy.Key words Mathematical modeling thought Middle school mathematics teachingApplication
