AbstractWith the progress of information and the rapid development of network technology,it brings people a brand-new lifestyle which is different from the traditional one.However,due to the widespread application of the Internet and social networks,newproblems have emerged in the protection of citizens'privacy rights,and people arepaying more and more attention to privacy rights in the network environment.The47th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China shows that as of December2020,the number of Internet users in China has reached 989.1 million that is 85.4million larger than that in March 2020,and the Internet penetration rate has reached70.4%.It can be seen from the report that the number of Internet users in China hasincreased sharply,especially under the influence of the Covid-19 where people isprone to using Internet for obtaining the latest news,thus the use of the Internet isbecoming more and more frequent.In this way,the number of Internet users isgrowing,and it becomes easier to obtain the privacy of others on the networkplatform with the application of network technology.Due to the rapid spread of theInternet and wide influence range,the consequences are serious once the privacydisclosure occurs.Hence,in order to avoid the increasing risk of infringement ofcitizens'privacy rights and to protect citizens'privacy,it is urgent to improve theexisting laws and regulations,which is effective to establish the protection system ofChina's network privacy.This article mainly uses comparative analysis and empirical analysis.First,proceeding from the connotation of the privacy right that serves as a basis to learnthe views of domestic and foreign scholars to achieve a clear understanding for theNetwork Privacy,and then analyze the characteristics of the Network Privacy tobetter grasp the basics theory.Secondly,to understand both domestic and overseasresearch of Network Privacy rights.Based on the current situation of networkprivacy protection in China,my own views on the problems of network privacyprotection are put forward.Finally,the paper gives some suggestions on theprotection of network privacy in China from the aspects of legislative protection,lawenforcement improvement and judicial protection.Keyword:Network Privacy Right;Privacy Rights;Legal Protection.
