abstractNo matter the development of the times or the needs of people's life,it isinevitable to use energy.However,today's energy consumption is very huge andhard to reduce.The old primary energy such as coal,oil and natural gas willeventually be exhausted,so it is necessary to develop and use new energy as soonas possible.Secondly,the development of new clean energy is more importantbecause of its little harm to the environment.In this study,solar energy andwind energy are used conveniently.They are harmless to the environment and havelarge reserves.With STC89C52 as the main chip and peripheral devices as theauxiliary,the above two kinds of energy are converted into electric energy tosupply power for street lamps and generate lighting.This design includes LEDlights,solar cells,wind turbines,solar batteries,wind complementary controllerand so on.There are two working modes in the design of street lamp,which areautomatic working mode and manual working mode.Under the automatic working mode,street lamp can be turned on or off automatically according to the light intensity,and the manual working mode is that the user switches on and off the electric lamp.Key words:solar energy and wind energy complementary;street lamp;STC89C52
