本科论文AbstractAs a social and cultural phenomenon,cross-cultural awareness requiresforeign language learners to be closely connected with social culture whenlearning foreign languages.In the course of emulating and training linguisticknowledge,teachers ought to infiltrate the background knowledge of politics,culture,local customs,etc.of relevant countries into students,and students'cross-cultural communication awareness should be gradually cultivated,so thatstudents can be competent with different cultural backgrounds Humancommunication.Culture and language are interlinked,the former is one of theimportant attributes of the latter,and the latter is one of the important carriers ofthe former.With the development and progress of community,internationalconnections become more and more continual.Therefore,as a basic course tofoster students'synthetic language capacity,College English course is facingopportunities and challenges.College English teaching stage can not onlyimprove students'awareness of intercultural social intercourse,but alsoeffectively improve students'language application ability.The final objective ofCollege English education is to cultivate the ability of cross-culturalcommunication.In order to cultivate students'intercultural communicationability,we must first cultivate students'intercultural awareness.Cross culturalawareness means the capability of students to understand and master the cultureof a language well and use it in appropriate occasions when emulating alanguage.When thinking about problems,the sensitivity should be the same asthat of native language.To a great extent,intercultural awareness can eliminatethe cultural differences between learners and target speakers,so as tocommunicate more effectively.Keywords:intercultural awareness Intercultural communication abilityEnglish Language Teaching
