AbstractThe sunflower dish powder was used as the raw material.The organic solvents were usedto extract and classify the flavonoids in the sunflower dish,and the developing agent andmobile phase for separating the ethyl acetate phase by thin layer chromatography,silica gelcolumn chromatography,and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)were selected.Finally,high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS)was used to characterizethe components of different elution phases.The results showed that the best developing agent for thethin-layer identification of flavonoids in the sunflower dish was petroleum ether-ethyl acetatesystem(60:40,V/V);the elution condition of silica gel column chromatography was petroleumether-ethyl acetate system(80:20,V/V);the suitable mobile phase for high performance liquidchromatography was ultrapure water-acetonitrile system.The data of HPLC-MS showed thatthe main flavonoids content of the eluent of petroleum ether:ethyl acetate =90:10 wassignificantly lower than that of other eluent phases;the species of flavones in the eluent of60:40,70:30 and 80:20 were mostly the same but the contents were different.Keywords:Sunflower dish;flavonoids;thin layer;silica gel column;HPLC-MS
