Analysis and Optimization of Queuing System ofSupermarket Cashier Based on Queuing Theory-TakingWuguishan Town and Dafu Supermarket in Zhongshan Cityas an Example[Abstract]With the gradual improvement of people's living standards,people's production,life and consumption behavior is also increasingly frequent.Thephenomenon of waiting and queuing is increasingly prominent which brings troublesto people's daily life.Large supermarkets and shopping malls are densely populatedplaces.In the period of frequent population flow,it has tendency to have extremelylong queue length and long waiting time in the checkout phase which will causeproblems to customer satisfaction and service efficiency of supermarkets.In order toallocate social resources and achieve win-win situation between consumers and sellersrationally,it is necessary to deeply study the checkout and queuing system ofsupermarkets and optimize it.We choose He Dafu supermarket as the research object,which is located at Wugui Mountain Town in Zhongshan City.By using the method ofquestionnaire and communication with the supermarkets we obtain the relevant dataof the cashier line.Using the related knowledge of operational research and queuingtheory,the model of queuing system is constructed,and the optimization is carried outaccording to the selected indicators and objective function.[Keywords]Queuing system;The supermarket;Objective function
