Research on Chinese vocabulary teaching in the primary stage ofCambodiaAbstractWith the introduction and implementation of the "One Belt And One Road"strategy,trade between China and Cambodia has become increasingly frequent.With the promotionand encouragement of the Cambodian government,the interest of the Cambodian people inlearning Chinese has once again surged.However,the use of modern Chinese vocabulary iscomplex and diverse.For Cambodian students at the primary stage who are new to Chineseand deeply affected by negative transfer of their mother tongue,they are prone to errors suchas "negative transfer of mother tongue,misapplication and misuse of vocabulary,andinsufficient vocabulary"when they acquire vocabulary.This paper on the basis of existingresearch,based on my three-month internship Chinese as a foreign language,takingCambodia elementary Chinese level of students as the research object,based on the actualvocabulary teaching Chinese as a foreign language classroom observation and studentfeedback,by investigating the analysis of the HSKI Standard Course teaching materials in thecore vocabulary,Combined with relevant theories of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,this paper makes an in-depth study of the current situation and problems of vocabularyteaching in Cambodian Chinese classroom,and puts forward teaching principles andstrategies.Keywords:Cambodia;Primary stage;Teaching Chinese as a foreign language;Vocabulary teaching
