Promoting Simplified Chinese Characters and TeachingChinese as a Foreign LanguageAbstractSince the implementation of simplified Chinese characters,it has becomea standard Chinese character widely accepted and used in today's society.However,traditional Chinese characters slowly disappear from our vision.This article explores the promotion of simplified Chinese characters from the perspectiveof different countries and different regions.By comparing the use of simplifiedChinese characters and traditional Chinese characters in different regions and countries,it analyzes the specific proportion of use,thus obtaining the current situation of the promotion of simplified Chinese characters.In addition,simplifiedChinese characters play an irreplaceable role in teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage.Teachers'teaching and students'learning are closely related to simplified Chinese characters.By analyzing the relationship between simplified and traditional Chinese characters,this paper refines the teaching methods and teaching strategies of simplified Chinese characters in teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage,so as to reduce learners'errors in using simplified characters and better promote the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Keywords:Simplifying Chinese characters;The original Chinese characters;Teaching strategies;Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language
