本科论文AbstractAmong the four basic skills of language learning,writing is considered tobe the most representative of a person's comprehensive language ability.Underthe current traditional writing teaching,students are weak in writing,andproblems such as lack of vocabulary and grammatical errors will occur inwriting.Besides,students'learning enthusiasm will be also reduced and theirconfidence in learning will be lost.Teaching lexical chunks is the key to solve the above problems.Lexicalchunk teaching takes the chunk as the minimum memory unit to make studentseasy to understand,easy to remember and easy to use.It can effectively improvestudents'comprehensive language use ability and thus improve their writinglevel.This paper adopts the method of literature research and search the relevantliterature on the application of lexical chunks in English writing classes,so as tohave a comprehensive understanding of the background,current situation andprospect of lexical chunks theory.Based on the theory of lexical chunks,thispaper applies the lexical chunk approach proposed by British linguists MichaelLewis to English writing teaching in junior middle school,introduces theconceptual classification and advantages of lexical chunks approach in detail,and guides students to use lexical chunk consciousness.At the same time,thepaper also analyzes the application of teaching lexical chunks in junior highschool English writing class,and proves that lexical chunk approach can indeedimprove students'interest in English writing,enhance their awareness of usingchunks,and effectively improve their writing performance in a short term.As a new type of education mode,lexical chunk approach can not onlyeffectively improve students'comprehensive language ability and writingperformance,but also play an important role in English writing teaching in thewhole junior high school.Therefore,teachers should be able to see theadvantages of lexical chunks,use them flexibly and actively explore andimprove the lexical chunk approach.Keywords:lexical chunks;lexical chunk teaching;junior high school Englishwriting;writing scores
