本科论文AbstractEnglish listening is an important and critical skill that affects learners'English proficiency.In practical English teaching in junior high school,however,the importance of listening teaching has not received enough attention and theteaching effect is not satisfactory.In addition,in English listening learning,students have low interest and motivation.Moreover,most students expressdifferent levels of listening anxiety and fear of English listening,which is anegative factor in English listening teaching.With the development of multimedia and network technology,multimodalteaching is generally accepted by teachers in teaching.How to effectively usethe multimodal input and integrate multimodal resources to promote thelistening comprehension of students has an important significance.What's more,the research on multimodal in English teaching is mainly concentrated in thefield of higher education.The application research on English listening teachingof junior high school is still in the exploring stage.Therefore,this thesis will explore how to apply multimodal teaching toEnglish listening teaching in junior high school.And this thesis will combine theactual teaching practice to select the article of Shanghai Education EditionEnglish for seven grades first volume as the case.It will be discussed from thefollowing aspects:present situation of English listening in junior high school,background information and application of multimodal English listeningteaching.At the end of the thesis,the paper puts forward some pedagogicalimplications and suggestions for further research and points out the inadequaciesof the research.In addition,It is hoped that the research results can providesome theoretical reference and example for the practice of English listeningteachingKeywords:multimodal teaching theory;junior high school;English listeningteaching
