本科论文AbstractWith the globalization of economy,English,as the most important universallanguage of international communication,plays an irreplaceable key role in themedium.Since the reform and open policy,not only the China's national power hasincreased rapidly,but also the global economic status has risen steadily.Thereforeit is objectively required to formulate and implement a national strategy of Englisheducation that matches its position as a great power,so as to generally improve theEnglish ability of the whole people.Thus it can be observed learn English well isvery important.According to research,early childhood is the best time to learn alanguage.Based on the advantages of children's learning English,today's Englishlearning is becoming more and more youth,and a wide range of children's Englisheducation is hot.Early childhood English education is also widely concerned by allwalks of life,especially parents,and parents have great expectations for children'sEnglish learning.However,with the rapid development of English education for children,thereare also some problems.It is found that most children have the problem of notspeaking (silent period)at the beginning of learning English.The research showsthat parents have great expectations for children's English learning,which willmake children under too much pressure to learn English,which is one of thereasons why most children are silent for too long when they start to learn English.Firstly,this paper focuses on the phenomenon of "silent period"when mostchildren begin to learn English.By referring to the relevant data of"silent period"when children learn English,this paper analyzes the causes of children's silentperiod and the performance characteristics of children in the silent period.Secondly,it discusses the influence of the silent period on children's Englishlearning.Finally,find out the way to shorten the silent period.Let children'sEnglish education return to the origin of cultivating and improving their ability ofusing English and lay a solid foundation.Keywords:English learning;children's English;silent period
