AbstractAbstractDue to its own unique optical,electromagnetic and mechanical properties,goldnanomaterial has drawn extensive attention in recent years.The study of goldnanoparticles on localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR)is the priority amongpriorities in many research fields.In this paper,most research is put on the producing,assembly,modification and testing of gold nanoparticles.On that basis,we make afurther study of LSPR.Specific work of this paper includes the following aspects:(1)Summary of the characteristics of gold nanoparticles and the basic principlesof the LSPR;By reading a large number of references,this paper summarizes theexisting methods of producing gold nanoparticles,and gives an analysis of their owncharacteristics.(2)We produce the solution of spherical gold nanoparticles,using sodium citratereduction method and assemble it on glass.UV-visible spectrophotometer,measurements of TEM and AFM are used to compare its performances in order tostudy the characteristics of gold nanoparticles(3)Through the protein modification of gold nanoparticles,we study the spectralproperties of multilayer films on their surfaces,as well as the sensitivity of proteinsmodified gold nanoparticles to the refractive index changes of the surroundingenvironmentsIn this paper we can control the size of gold nanoparticles and produce a varietyof sizes of gold nanoparticles by adjusting the molar ratio of Sodium citrate andchloroauric acid.Basing on our extinction spectrum analysis of gold nanoparticlesand the Spectral changes according to refractive index changes of the surroundingenvironment,we find that when the gold particle size is about 33nm,it has the highestsensitivity to the changes of the refractive index to the surrounding environment;Atthe same time we realize the protein modification of gold nanoparticles and obtainedfrom the measurement that its sensitivity to changes of the refractive index to
