AbstractWith the progress of The Times and the rapid development of networktechnology,new media have gradually replaced traditional media and becomethe main mode of communication,and the types of reality shows have graduallybecome diversified.In the early 20th century,the Chinese market began to learnfrom the characteristics of foreign variety shows and created localized programswith stars as the main body.This type of program is creative and innovative,opening up a larger venue for activities,breaking the traditional single indoorshooting,increasing outdoor games and competitions,and broadcast in theprime time of major satellite TV,so it quickly attracted the public's attentionand became popular.Idol Producer was born under this background.Thesuccess of this type of program has laid a solid foundation for talent shows inChina.With the soaring ratings,waves of talent shows have been derived,suchas Youth with You,which is studied in this paper.This paper draws on thesuccessful experience of foreign reality shows,optimizes domestic realityshows and integrates them with local culture,and emphasizes the significanceof the current most popular reality show "Youthfulness"as the research object.Other reality shows and new media communication industries need to learnfrom and reflect on their communication strategies,success factors anddevelopment prospects.Keywords:New Media Age,reality show,mode of transmission,function
