Comparative Analysis of Character Design of Spoken ChineseTextbooks for International Education in Different Regions-Taking Chinese textbooks and American textbooks asexamplesAbstractAs the most important teaching tool,teaching materials are the foundation of teaching.Thedesign of Chinese international education textbooks has always been a part of internationalChinese education that cannot be ignored.At present,there are more and more charactersappearing in textbooks.However,there are few studies and investigations on the characters inthe spoken Chinese textbooks for international education,and the design and arrangement ofthe characters are different.What kind of character design can maximize learning?Thisarticle selects two representative sets of popular spoken Chinese textbooks published byChina and the United States,which are popular with Chinese learners,and conducts researchon the role design of spoken textbooks in Chinese international education.The preparationmade a few suggestions.I hope it will be helpful to the design of textbook characters in thefuture to achieve the purpose of higher quality teaching.Keywords:Chinese international education;spoken textbooks;characterdesign ;Chinese textbooks;American textbooks
