本科论文AbstractVocabulary is the basis of learning language.Only by mastering a largenumber of vocabularies and being proficient in its application,students canenhance their ability of expression.The new curriculum standard requires seniorhigh school students to master 3000 words and skillfully apply 400 to 500phrases.Meanwhile,the new curriculum standards also set more strict andaccurate requirements for high school students'reading ability,communicationability and Western cultural knowledge.So in the procedure of high schoolEnglish learning,teachers will spend more time on vocabulary teaching.However,the limitations of traditional teaching methods make many studentsunable to understand and use vocabulary accurately.This will affect theimprovement of students'overall English ability.So,teachers need to find aneffective and appropriate way to solve this problem.With the development of English teaching reform,the application ofcontext theory in vocabulary teaching has become a new teaching method.Through the research of experts at home and abroad,it is found that theapplication of context theory can enhance the actual effect of vocabularyteaching and improve the learning efficiency of students.This paper will explorethe practical application of context theory in senior high school Englishvocabulary teaching by analyzing the problems encountered in senior highschool English vocabulary teaching.Starting from the reality,this paper putsforward detailed teaching cases on how to apply the theoretical context tovocabulary teaching,hoping to be helpful for teachers in actual teaching.Keywords:context theory;English vocabulary teaching;senior high school
