本科论文AbstractCritical thinking is an essential component of talent development.Thestudy of students'critical reading ability in western countries started early with alarge body of literature,and since the end of the twentieth century,criticalthinking has gradually been applied to teaching reading in countries and writteninto the bill.However,the relevant research in our country has started late and ismore focused on theoretical research.In our country's English teaching at high school,reading is an importantway to develop students'critical thinking.As the General Senior SecondaryEnglish Curriculum Standard has been pushed forward,higher teachingrequirements for English reading at high school have been put forward,teachersshould focus on cultivating students'critical thinking awareness and criticalthinking skills in teaching,and critical thinking has also become the focus ofteaching.Compared with the traditional teaching reading mode,critical teachingreading can help students build up self-awareness,reason and analyze thestructure of reading materials with a questioning attitude,and evaluate the ideasof reading materials with objective and rational judgment,so as to betterenhance students'reading ability,improve students'consciousness of innovationand innovation ability,and improve students'independent analysis andproblem-solving ability.This study mainly elaborates on the necessity of critical thinking inteaching English reading at high school,the concept of critical thinking,andsummarizes and analyzes the relevant literature on critical thinking research athome and abroad using literature analysis method.Based on the analysis of thecurrent situation of teaching English reading at high school,the problems inteaching English reading from the state at high school,teachers and students aresummarized,and effective strategies to develop students'critical thinking areproposed to improve students'English reading ability.Keywords:critical reading ability;innovation ability;self-awareness
