本科论文AbstractLanguage is the carrier of culture,which embodies the profound culturalaccumulation of a nation.Because of the differences in geographicalenvironment,policy,economy,religious belief and thinking mode,there are alsodifferences in language and culture among different ethnic groups.This leads tocultural differences and foreshadows the problem of cultural imparity in liaisoninterpretation.Cultural images are cultural symbols with relatively fixed and uniquecultural meanings.Most of them embody the wisdom of every nation andessence of history and culture.The problem of cultural imparity is a specificmanifestation of incomplete correspondence between cultural images caused bycultural differences in liaison interpreting.Cultural image is an importantresearch object of cultural imparity.With the further strengthening of globalization,liaison interpretation playsan increasingly important role in culture.When disseminating culture,liaisoninterpretation can not only promote communication between languages,but alsobetween cultures,and also promote development of cross-culturalcommunication.On the basis of previous studies,this present thesis intends to do a detailedanalysis of problems and strategies of cultural imparity in Chinese-Englishliaison interpretation by employing the combination of previous studies andpractice methods.In conclusion,it is found that in Chinese-English liaison interpretation,problems of cultural imparity are very common.Therefore,how to effectivelyconvey cultural images with minimum cultural losses in liaison interpretation isa problem worthy of people's study.This thesis can improve interpreters orstudents to understand cultural imparity and cope with it correctly inChinese-English liaison interpretation in order to achieve their expected goals.Key words:cultural image;imparity;cultural loss;strategies
