Adjustable podium based on human factors engineering-the design of control part and simulation analysisAbstractThe podium is a tool for teachers to spread knowledge and experience.Sometimes isused to rest awhile.However,the traditional podium is fixed in height and most of teachers'height mismatch the podium.These problems make teachers uncomfortable,influenceteaching efficiency and even affect physical health.The electric buttons or sensors controlsthe existing liftable platform to raise and lower.Although it solves the problem of fixedheight,it needs to be manually adjusted multiple times.The main research object of this design is junior high school and college teachers.Thepurpose is to provide teachers by unique teacher number with an intelligent,comfortable andconvenient podium based on the human factors engineering.The design is implementedthrough 4 steps:(1)Draw the QFD decomposition of the house of quality to decompose the needs ofteachers and formulate a preliminary design plan.(2)Build an Access database to store information such as teacher's number and height.(3)Design the upper computer of the platform system,so that the teacher can enterunique number to login the system,then communicated with the 51 single chip to transmit theteacher's height.The single chip calculates the appropriate height calculated by human factorsengineering through this data.And then adjusts the platform to this height.Meanwhile,get theteacher's information of the job number,course information and the corresponding student listof the course,and display information on the upper computer in real time.(4)Finally,the mechanical simulation analysis of the key transmission part of thesystem-the lead screw to ensure the rationality of the design and the quality of the design.Through the 4 steps,This design realizes the intelligent control of the adjustable lectureplatform and the teacher can display the course information in real time.Keywords:human factors engineering;podium;database;finite element analysis;qualityengineering;
