The principle of national equality and national unity is the basic view andprinciple of Marxism to solve national problems,and also the national policy of asocialist country.As a multi-ethnic country,China is bound to be more complex thanthe social relations under a single nation.Therefore,it is particularly important topromote the relationship of equality,unity and progress of all ethnic groups in China,This paper attempts to promote the work of national equality,unity and progress fromthe perspective of the rule of law by combining the theory of national equality andnational unity with the legal system,and finally hopes to promote the harmoniousrelationship of national unity and progress to the people's right to happiness.The logical thinking of this article is divided into five chapters except theintroduction and conclusion.The first chapter is a simple exposition of the conceptand theory of national equality and national unity;The second chapter introduces thelogical link between the two principles of national equality and national unity and thelegal system,the relationship between the two principles and the Constitution,and therelationship between the two principles and other normative documents except theConstitution;The third chapter cites a case of the "Zhongmou"incident in HenanProvince.The "Zhongmou"incident in Henan Province is the most serious of theethnic group incidents in Henan Province since the founding of the People's Republicof China.It not only caused great damage to the local politics,economy and culture,but also caused serious impact on our country's reputation in the internationalcommunity,The case is mainly about the conflict between the Hui and Hannationalities in Henan Province,reflecting on the cause of the "event"from theperspective of ethnic theory and ethnic policy,and thus extrapolating the research onthe regulation of ethnic relations in scattered and mixed areas is undoubtedly still ofgreat practical significance.The "Zhongmou Incident"in Henan Province also madeus soberly realize that the issue of ethnic relations,whether in the past,now or in thefuture,the promotion of ethnic equality and unity relations is a major issue that mustalways be attached great importance to.The following two paragraphs are along thethird paragraph of the "Zhongmou Incident"to discuss the causes of the incident andto reflect such problems in society with a small view and then put forward legalII
