AbstractIn this paper,Larimichthys crocea,an important mariculture fish in China,was takenas the research object.In order to explore the effect of compound Chinese herbal medicineon the catalase (CAT)gene expression of L.crocea,this experiment to compare theexpression characteristics of the gene in different tissues after feeding Chinese herbalmedicine by adding different proportions of compound Chinese herbal medicine(Pseudostellaria heterophylla,Morinda officinalis,angelica sinensis,medlar,poria cocos,atractylodes macrocephala,etc.)into the feed of L.crocea and taking kidney and spleentissues of L.crocea as experimental material after 30 days of feeding.The results showedthat,compared with the control group,the relative expression level of catalase gene in eachgroup decreased to different degrees (except the E2 group of kidney tissue),but there wasno significant difference between each group (P>0.05).The results of this study providevaluable data for the future application of chinese herbal medicine added to large yellowcroaker feed,and also provide a preliminary research basis for chinese herbal medicine asan antioxidant enhancer for fish.Key words:Larimichthys crocea;Chinese herbal medicine;CAT
