本科论文AbstractPrimary school period is the basic stage of English learning and the keyperiod of English learning.At this stage,it is very important for teachers tomake students like to learn English and improve their English communicationskills.At present,the traditional teaching model is still adopted in primaryschool English teaching in China.The characteristic of traditional education isindoctrination.Teacher indoctrinates students without a situation.In this process,students are ignored by teachers as the main body of teaching.Teachers alsoneglect to enhance students'interest in learning and practical ability.This kindof teaching method makes the pupils lack the language environment for learningEnglish.China's curriculum is being reformed and educational information isconstantly evolving,the traditional English teaching model in primary schoolcannot adapt to the teaching situation in the new era.English as a language,itsmain function is communication.Communication needs a certain situation,so itis very necessary to create a situation for students.Situational teaching methodis in line with the idea of deepening education innovation and the developmenttrend of educational information.Situational teaching method is used byteachers in primary school English teaching.It can help students tocommunicate with each other.Students'learning interests and languagecommunication skills are improved in this process.In view of the above problems,the author found that situational teachingmethod can solve these problems well.This paper will explore the application ofsituational teaching method in primary school English teaching.First of all,itexplains the basic theoretical content of situational teaching method and Englishteaching in primary school.Secondly,it analyzes the guiding strategies ofsituational teaching method in primary school English teaching.Finally,theauthor hopes to find out how to create effectual scenarios in primary schoolEnglish teaching by applying situational teaching method.Keywords:traditional teaching model;Situational Teaching Method;primaryschool English teaching
