Design of the production process of 100 thousand tons ofchloromethane per yearAbstractMethyl chloride (CH3CD),a colorless and liquefiable gas,is usually stored in steelcylinders under pressure.Because China's economy is developing at a high speed and thedemand for organosilicon in China is also increasing,we want to manufacture chloromethane.At present,there are two main production methods of chloromethane in China,liquid-phasecatalytic method and gas-solid phase hydrochlorination method.In this design,methanolhydrochlorination catalytic gas-solid method (gas-phase method)is used to producechloromethane.Methanol is pumped to the methanol vaporizer for vaporization,and theliquid level of the vaporizer is controlled by adjusting the methanol feed quantity of the liquidphase.After the reaction in a tubular fixed bed reactor,chloromethane is obtained by filtrationin a sulfuric acid tower,an alkali washing tower and a water washing tower.Key words:Chloromethane;Tubular fixed bed reactor;process planning
