AbstractThe tea culture of our country has always been respected by the sages and thetea ceremony has become an important carrier of Chinese traditional cultureand art.As the old saying goes:"The literati has seven treasuresnamely zither,chess,calligraphy,painting,poetry,wine and tea."The tea set's original pattern design was mainly composed of decorative patterns withauspicious connotations and patterns of flowers and birds,but in today'sfierce market competition environment for tea sets,gradually many tea setsderive new fashion patterns that are not compatible with tea culture for thesake of beauty.Even so,there are still tea set manufacturers who maintaintheir original intentions believe that the pattern design of tea sets must belinked to traditional Chinese culture,such as the Silk Road culture.The silk road opened a window for ancient China to enter the world.It wasalso a way for ancient China to interact with western civilization and showthe world the ancient oriental civilization and creativity.At the same time,the continuous development of the silk road also inspired China's creation oftea culture and successfully opened up the "Silk Tea Road".China'sdiscovery of tea,the development of tea industry and the spread of teaculture are also great contributions to the world.This article takes the traditional Silk Road culture which is used as a visualdisplay and application of the tea set pattern design as the research direction.It is hoped that through the true theme and practice,the characteristicelements,historical details and development prospects of traditional culturalexchanges in the silk road will be closely integrated into the design of teasets,so that the market of tea sets with traditional patterns can be reborn andarouse the emotional resonance of the audience,and convey the noble saluteand honor to the traditional culture of Chinese nation.Key words the Silk Road traditional culture pattern design tea sets
