AbstractPermanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)with high efficiency,small size,andsuperior control performance gradually become the mainstream of new elevator tractionmachine.The drive and control technology of permanent magnet synchronous motor forelevator has become the hot research at home and abroad.First of all,this article analyzes the servo system driven by permanent magnetsynchronous traction motor,describes the mathematical model and field-oriented controlstrategies of permanent magnet synchronous motor,and derives the model of permanentmagnet synchronous traction machine servo system.In order to meet the requirements forelevator speed control system with permanent magnet synchronous motor,the advanced PIDcontrol and fuzzy self-tuning PID control are brought up.Simulation result shows the validityof the proposed controller.In order to improve the robustness of permanent magnetsynchronous motor position servo system,anti-buffet sliding mode control and adaptiverobust control are introduced.For a class of second order nonlinear systems with parameterperturbation and external perturbation,sliding mode controller and adaptive robust controllerare developed.The sliding mode control law ensures asymptotic tracking stability of theposition servo system.But the violent chatting limits its application in practice.The adaptiverobust control ensures the tracking within a desired precision,and all control signals arebounded.Simulation results confirmed the validity of the robust controllers.Based on DSP hardware platform,software programming of PMSM servo system withvector control and algorithm are accomplished.Modular concept is used for design of speedcontroller,current controller,SVPWM,communication and so on.A combination debuggingof hardware and software is done well.Analysis and solution of main problems encounteredin the debugging process are also given.Experimental results show that the design ofpermanent magnet synchronous motor servo system has good speed performance to meet therequirements of elevator drive system.Key Words:elevator,PMSM,advanced PID,fuzzy PID,ARC control,DSP
