建设工程项目中信任的产生机制及其对项目成功的影响

Tongji University Doctor of Philosophy AbstractABSTRACTThere are long-term low efficacy,bad result of project management andrelationship needing improvement among project participants in construction industry.All of the above makes trust become an important research topic in constructionprojects.Trust has vital effect on project completion.In detail,trust can decreaseproject transaction cost,organization operation cost,opportunism behavior andimprove relationship among project participants.But in the field of constructionprojects,there are in lack of research on occurrence mechanism of trust and thefunction of trust on project success.On the foundation of literature review,the object of study (the client and thecontractor in construction project)and relevant concept have been defined.And trusthas been classified into calcaulative trust and relational trust.A whole theoreticalmodel including antecedents of trust,trust (calculative turst and relational trust)andproject success has been set up.Also,measurement tools for all of the variables in themodel were designed and questinaires have been formed on the basis of measurementtools for the variables.Investigation was carried out in the client and the contractor,and effective sample capacity is respectively 298 and 290.According to empirical data's fitting result in structural equation model,the theoreticalmodel has been amended,and a best fit theoretical model has been formed.There are conclusionsas follow:(1)Antecedents of trust conclude the characteristics of the trustee and the relationshipbetween the trustor and the trustee.The characteristics of the trustee include reputation,competency and promise-keeping.The relationship between the trustor and the trustee contains thetwo parties'communication,reciprocity and contract.All of these antecedents have importantfunction on calculative trust and relational trust.(2)In China's construction projects,it is suitableto classify trust into calculative trust and relational trust.For the client,calculative has nonlinearfuction on relational trust,the functional expression is:relationaltrust==2.955+0.016*(caculative trust)3;for the contractor,calculative trust has linear functionon relational trust,the functional expression is:relational trust=0.805+0.785*calculative trust.(3)Both calculative trust and relational trust have vital function on project success,but relationaltrust's function coefficient is bigger.It is maybe relevant to project success including the twoparties'relationship.(4)All of the antecedents of trust rely on calculative and relational trust toplay function on project success.This shows that trust is a comprehensive reflection of many
