Analysis of common faults of gears and application of diagnostictechniquesAbstractGear is an indispensable transmission power component in production equipment,thenormal operation of gear can not only ensure the safety of production,but also improveproduction efficiency.Gears are widely used in industry,agriculture,aerospace,military andother fields.To some extent,gears are the most heavily involved mechanical components in theworld.On the other hand,the insufficient durability of the gear often leads to its failure,if theimproper use of the fault is not found in time,will hinder the normal operation of the equipment.Therefore,it is the basis and key of equipment condition guarantee to understand the commonfaults of gears and study the fault diagnosis technology of gears.Only in the early stage of faultdiagnosis and timely maintenance can the spread of faults be stopped and property losses andcasualties be avoided.This paper mainly analyzes the principle of common faults of gear,suchas tooth fracture,tooth surface wear,tooth surface corrosion and other fault phenomena,and thenanalyzes the fault diagnosis technology commonly used in current production,studies itsadvantages and disadvantages,and proposes improvement plans.Key words:gear fault type diagnosis oil analysis vibration signal analysis
