AbstractWith the continuous development of science and technology,theapplication of electronic devices has made remarkable achievements.Evenin today's highly integrated,MCU technology still occupies an importantposition in our daily life.Temperature is the most commonly used physicalquantity in daily life,industry,medicine,environmental protection,chemical industry,petroleum and other fields.The basic method ofmeasuring temperature is to use a thermometer to read the temperaturedirectly.The most common tool for measuring temperature is a variety ofthermometers.They often represent the temperature in scale form,and onemust measure the temperature by reading the scale value.An electronicintelligent thermometer composed of a single chip microcomputer and atemperature sensor can directly measure the temperature and obtain thedigital value of the temperature,which is both simple and convenient,intuitive and accurate.This paper introduces a temperature measuringsystem based on STC89C51 single chip microcomputer and digitaltemperature sensor DS18B20.The system has the advantages of highreliability,low cost and low power consumption.Through Proteus drawingand Keil programming,the digital thermometer which can measure anddisplay the temperature in real time has been successfully simulated.Keywords:SCM,digital temperature sensor,thermometer
