AbstractSince the beginning of the 21st century,China's automobile industry hasdeveloped rapidly,and automobiles have made people more convenient to travel,but the increase of automobiles has also caused a series of safety problems.Among them,the most prominent ones are rear-end accidents and backlashescaused by back-up parking.This can damage the car and cost money to repair,and most of them can be life threatening.The detection and implementation ofvehicle safety distances are based on this outstanding problem to give drivers thenecessary technical hardware facilities.This design uses ultrasonic distancemeasurement to determine the distance between the car body and obstacles toassist the driver in reversing the car safely.The core chip for the detection andrealization of the safety distance of the car is the AT89C52 single-chipmicrocomputer.This design consists of an ultrasonic transmitting and receivingcircuit,a display alarm circuit and a reset circuit.The design of the software partconsists of the main program and several transmit,receive,calculation,anddisplay subprograms.The design uses a single-chip microcomputer to controlthe timing and calculate the distance between the ultrasonic wave and theobstacle to obtain the distance.The design is simple in structure,good inperformance and small in error,and can meet the requirement of safely assistingreversing in daily lifeKey words:51Single Chip Microcomputer Ultrasonic sersor Ranging
