Optimised design of traffic management on main roadsAbstract With the development of the region, more and more cars, the traditionalsynchronous traffic lights have been unable to meet the traffic network, the traditionalsynchronous traffic lights will lead to a series of problems:one side of the green lightwithout cars to pass the other side of the red light blocked, the main road time is too short, can not pass all, resulting in traffic jams, reduce the amount of traffic per unit time.If wewant to solve the problem of urban traffic congestion,we can only start from two aspects.First:invest a lot of manpower and funds for the construction of urban roads, itsadvantages are to reasonably maximize the traffic, the disadvantage is the need forlong-term planning time,a large number of human and financial costs.Second:the idea ofmathematical modeling, through reasonable traffic light time allocation, the optimization oftraffic control system. The advantage is that it can reduce the consumption of manpowerand funds without changing the existing roads, and it does not affect traffic, and is morefeasible.Through mathematical modeling,we compare the traffic volume, analyze asingle intersection and a main road, and compare the traffic capacity of theintersectionwhen using traffic lights that are out of sync and simultaneous traffic lights atthe four intersections. It is found that the out-of-sync time of traffic lights can effectivelyimprove the road capacity, make the average waiting time of the car reduce, save energyand protect the environment in disguise, reduce the consumption of human and financialresources. Keywords CrossroadsMain Road Traffic ManagementGreen Wave ZoneMathematical Modeling
