AbstractWith the rapid development of the Internet industry and the continuous progressof automation technology,nowadays,all walks of life will go ahead in the direction ofintelligence after popularizing full automation and informatization.The traditionalwired automatic meter reading system based on line Unicom,which mainly refers tothe wired data transmission by telephone lines,light and power line carrier,the utilitymodel has the advantages of using the wired way based on signal transmission isrelatively stable,but the disadvantage is obviously,the line erection is complicatedand costly,at the same time such as short and open circuit,over time,the line is alsorelatively easy to aging,maintenance costs are high,these problems are very difficultproblem of cable in the automatic meter reading system.This paper designs a wireless automatic meter reading system based on ZigBeenetwork technology.The design includes two parts:remote user terminal module andwireless transceiver module.These two parts are made up of chip CC2530 andcorresponding circuit.Use the binary technique to read the meter data,and thendisplay the data to the client.Analysis of the existing problems in automatic meterreading technology,introduces the features and advantages of ZigBee technology,ZigBee technology is discussed in the design of automatic meter reading system basedon mesh network topology structure,lower cost and power consumption,improve theflexibility and practicality of the system.The main characteristics of the wireless automatic meter reading system is thehierarchical architecture of the system is relatively simple,the relative cable erectioncost is greatly reduced,at the same time as the wireless automatic meter readingsystem technology selection is more diverse,so the choice of easy maintenance,lowpower consumption,low cost chip,can effectively avoid some knotty problem ofcable meter reading system.Key words:cable automatic meter reading system,ZigBee network technology,network topology,CC2530
