AbstractThe problems of environmental climate deterioration,energy security and stableoperation of the grid continue to highlight.Substation is an important part of theconstruction of smart grid,providing reliable node support for smart grid.As thetransition period to the development of intelligent substation,digital substation is theinevitable result of substation automation technology.Digital substation adopts thestructure of "three layers and two networks",and establishes a unified communicationplatform for the whole station.Through high-speed optical fiber network connection,it realizes the sharing of station equipment information.With the development ofcomputer technology,the computer is used to monitor and operate the equipment ofthe substation in an all-round way,to achieve unified collection,storage,transmissionand processing of equipment information.This paper first introduces the development of substation automation technologyand computer monitoring system.Then,the digital substation and computermonitoring system are summarized,and the digital substation is compared with theintegrated automation substation to summarize the advantages and characteristics ofthe digital substation.Based On Engineering Practice,according to regulations,focusing on the secondary system from the perspective of how to design digitalsubstation,given the overall design of digital substation.The network structuresystem of the computer monitoring system of three layers and two networks based onIEC61850 is established,and the networking scheme of computer monitoring systemis worked out.The flow of digital substation information is analyzed in detail,and theconfiguration of the switch and the connection of the port are designed.Accordingto the secondary wiring diagram of the network part,the principle diagram of theexchange cabinet and the circuit diagram of the network are analyzed in detailKey words:digital substation,substation computer monitoring system,network structure design,the secondary wiring diagram
